Lights [Jacob Collier]

If any of you have experienced a concert where the audience is  singing along the chorus of a song, then you definitely remember the energy.

I am sure that the audience at the following video had an equally unforgettable experience.

Here is Jacob Collier live at the O2 Arena in London performing ” Fix You” by Coldplay; joining him is Chris Martin, the vocalist & co- founder of Coldplay… which technically makes it not a remake… but it is…trust me, you’ll see why.

By the way,  Hans Zimmer, the multi-award winner film composer, said the following for Jacob after their collaboration on a movie score: “There’s musicianship and then there’s genius, and then way, way, way above all that, out in the stratosphere, is Jacob Collier.”

Until next time, be kind to yourselves & take it easy.

  1. To hold a thousand voices like a wave—held at that point just before it breaks must be something wild and nameless; the audience being both its voice and its listener, and Jacob controlling when to let the wave break.

An excellent way to start the day.

    • Indeed, Friedrich.
Energy that both soul and body react to.
It is in these almost ecstatic moments, I believe, that we are getting a glimpse of our true selves and our high potential… hence the tears that cannot not be freed.
