A Communion [Black County Communion]

Recently our Misky not only attended a concert by Joe Bonamassa at Brighton, UK but she also wrote a great review of that experience.
No boring technicalities or statistics; just how it felt – which is the most important aspect.
If you haven’t read it already, here is the link: A Few hours With Joe Bonamassa.

What maybe you don’t know is another project/ band JB is a member of:

BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION

From their bioBlack Country Communion is a powerhouse supergroup fusing the incredible talents of Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Trapeze), Joe Bonamassa (Blues Rock Legend), Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin, Sammy Hagar and the Circle, Foreigner) and Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Sons of Apollo).

Their brand of earth-shattering rock is heavily influenced by both British and American classic hard-rock and blues-rock music.

The supergroup recently announced their highly anticipated fifth album, V and unleashed their first new music in nearly seven years with “Stay Free,” again produced by the legendary Kevin Shirley (and honorary 5th member) which is just a taste of what’s to come from the new album.

The reputation they’ve cultivated after 15 years since their inception, not only as amazing songwriters, but as a powerful live act, is only exceeded by their dedication to their craft and willingness to challenge each other to make the best music imaginable.”

Turn the volume up & prepare for the communion!
From their 2010 debut album Black Country Communion, ” Song Of Yesterday”

From their 2011 album Black Country Communion 2, “Man In The Middle”

Bonamassa left in early 2013 and Black Country Communion subsequently broke up until their reunion in 2016. From the 2017 album BCCIV, “The Last Song For My Resting Place”

From their 2024 album V, “ Stay Free”

When stars Collide, this is what you get – from BBCIV.

Until next time, be kind to yourselves & take it easy

  1. Amazing! I mean … geeeze! Yes! — I’ve listened to Joe so many times since that concert that now I can hear him even when he’s in the midst of other musicians playing. It’s like recognising someone’s voice in a crowd. Thank you for this, N. I’ve found these guys on Spotify, and I’m making a playlist.

And the best part? P and I both really like listening to Joe Bonamassa, and our musical tastes have always been chalk and cheese (ie., different). You’ve “crashed it” with this week’s BB.

Oh, and many many thanks for the mention to my post.
